What is PrEP?

  • PrEP is a medication taken once a day to prevent transmission of HIV

  • PrEP does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (i.e., Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, etc.)

What is PEP?

  • PEP is a way to stop HIV infection after a possible exposure – (i.e., if you had unprotected sex, broken condemn are unsure of the status of your partner).
